CMC-University has been a healthcare leader in the community for 20 years, the staff of physicians and specialists are committed to advanced care for all patients. Caring for patients needing orthopedic surgery such as a knee replacement, the latest cancer treatments, or for patients undergoing a surgical procedure, the team's experience and compassion are evident in the real life cases treated everyday at CMC-University.
In addition to the health of area's families, CMC-University focuses on the care of the community. Actively working to promote a healthy lifestyle by contributing to local agencies and schools and providing a range of outreach programs and health seminars. Carolinas Medical Center-University is proud to be the healthcare sponsor at Northlake Mall. CMC-University is the sponsor of the monthly mall walkers meetings at Northlake Mall, which are held the first Wednesday of each month at 8am in the Food Court. Each month a physician specialist joins the group for a presentation on relevant health topics ranging from nutrition to cancer prevention and detection.
Live WELL Carolinas! is a community health resource center at Northlake Mall, offered by CMC-University located on the lower level near Dillard's. An exciting feature of the center is the unique, interactive children's area complete with a talking tree giving children tips for healthy living and a multi-media center to make learning about health fun for kids.
Visit LiveWELL Carolinas! for health screenings, seminars led by area physicians and other healthcare practitioners including dietitians and pharmacists, healthy cooking demonstrations and access to the latest health information resources.
